Delegate Credentials
Section I: Application
A. Must hold NSNA
membership
B. Nominated to delegate
position every semester
1. Serve a
term of one (1) semester, with a possibility of serving up to four (4) terms.
C. In the even interest
is greater than the number of positions available, the candidates must write an essay explaining why they want to be a delegate
for their class.
D. Applications will
be reviewed by the Board of Directors in order to confirm whether delegate meets credentials.
Section II: Roles of the Delegates
A. Represent one
vote at the SNA meetings.
B. Eligible to run
for an SNA board position.
C. Reports to class
SNA activities during next class session immediately following an SNA meeting.
D. Encouraged to
attend MNSA and NSNA conventions.
E. Responsible
for contributing to SNA fundraising.
F. Committee
member.
Section III:
If a delegate performs an illegal or unethical act he or she may be removed by two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors
and delegates. If a delegate misses two (2) meetings per semester (for reasons
other than nursing classes, nursing clinicals, or NSNA/MNSA conventions), that person will be dismissed. In order to receive LIC points the delegate must fulfill the above credentials.
