III.             Those Present: President-Megan Keller, Vice President- Danielle Smith, Secretary -Sara Klein, Community Wellness –Leah Wozniak, BTN Director-Christina Schwarz, Membership- Renee Poelman, Evaluations-Lisa Tenhave, Website-Amy Snooks, Staff Advisor- Ron Perkins, Faculty Advisor - Nancy Schoofs.

 

Those Absent:    Claire Dziewit, Bethany Michowski and Stefanie McCallum were absent with notice – unexcused. Amy McMillan, Katelyn Nelson, Jacyln Murphy, Angela Flasck, Samantha Burgess, Deb St.Pierre, Lindsay Aleccia and Breanne Rillema were absent with out notice – unexcused.

 

IV.              Officer Reports:

 

A.     President

- The winners of the gas cards this week were Rachel Pulis and Julie Koll- congratulations!

- Aaron Lanning spoke about the NUR 451 community health clinical. The clinical group wants to have a picnic/community meet and greet for the southwest area neighborhood.  The motion was passed for the SNA to donate $50 to the clinical group to make the event possible. The people in the neighborhood would benefit from free screenings and health checks.

- The MNA withdrew its constituency status from the ANA. The position statement as to why this occurred will be posted on BB soon.

B. Vice President

      - T-shirts and clip board orders are in. If you have not picked up your order it can be found in CHS 311 across from the lab assists office.

- Volunteers are needed to help at the pinning ceremony on August 2^nd starting at 12:30. The event should last about 2 hours and includes handing out flyers and directing people where to go. It is held at Forest Hills Performing Art Center. This is LIC approved and if interested contact Danielle Smith at vicepresident.gvsusna@gmail.com

- The SNA is holding a disc golf tournament on July 19^th at Brewer Park with registration from 8:30- 9:30am and play starting at 10:00am.  There will be two players per team and the cost ranges from Juniors $32, Amateur III $50 to Professionals $70 per team with classes in between. The cost includes two discs, drivers and putters. This event is open to the public (not just Grand Valley) so tell your family and friends and come out and have a good time. Lunch will be provided and there will be raffles and prizes.  Any questions or concerns an be directed towards Danielle Smith vicepresident.gvsusna@gmail.com or Jessica Ferris at jessicalee213@yahoo.com.

                   C. Community Wellness

                        - LIC Points are due July 11^th by 5:00pm. No late forms or emailed forms will be accepted.

- The Ronald McDonald event is taking place on July 15^th and August 7^th.  8-10 volunteers are needed to help and this is a great way to start earning LIC points for next semester!! For more information contact Leah at community.gvsusna@gmail.com.

                    D. Membership

                        - July 25^th at 9:00am is the NUR 315 orientation and volunteers are needed to pass out SNA membership forms and to answer any questions regarding the SNA. If you are interested please contact Renee at

                     E. Evaluations

      - Window clings and name badge holders are still for sale!!! If you are interested in purchasing any please contact any of the board members.
